Team members join a mission-driven environment committed to justice, empowerment, and community transformation.Role Description The Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore, responsible for supporting Kids Alive International’s financial integrity and operational effectiveness. Day-to-day tasks include managing general ledger entries, preparing and reviewing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and monitoring budgets for local and international programs. The role involves processing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. The Accountant will support audit and compliance requirements, help implement internal controls, and ensure adherence to organizational policies and relevant regulatory standards. Collaboration with program and leadership teams is essential to provide timely financial reports, analysis, and guidance that support mission-driven decision-making.Qualifications Strong accounting and finance skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support program planning and resource allocation.Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets; ability to maintain accurate data and produce clear financial documentation.Knowledge of audit processes, internal controls, and compliance with local regulations and nonprofit financial standards.Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a structured manner.Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA) is an advantage.Prior experience in the nonprofit or international development sector is beneficial, especially in faith-based or child-focused organizations.Comfort working in an on-site, collaborative environment in Singapore and commitment to Kids Alive International’s mission and values.
