EDWAN aims to be the preferred choice for individuals who appreciate authentic style with a modern touch and value quality, creativity, and personal expression.Role Description The Accountant and cashier will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining accurate ledgers, and reconciling accounts and Handle sales billing. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, tracking receivables and payables, handling GST and other statutory compliances, and assisting with monthly and annual financial reporting. The role also involves monitoring inventory-related financial data, supporting budgeting and cost analysis, and coordinating with banks, vendors, and internal teams. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai-Sowcarpet.QualificationsStrong foundational accounting skills, including bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliation and handling PETTY CASH .Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and basic financial analysis to support business planning.Knowledge of Indian taxation and regulatory requirements, including GST, TDS, and statutory compliances.Proficiency in accounting software (such as Tally, QuickBooks, or similar), MS Excel, and basic MS Office tools.Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and the ability to maintain accurate, organized financial records.Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site in Chennai.Relevant academic background, such as a degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a similar discipline; professional certifications (CA/ICWA/CPA or equivalent) are an advantage.Prior experience in retail, fashion, or apparel industry finance is a plus, along with a willingness to learn and adapt in a growing brand environment.
