Accountant

Job Description – AccountantJob Title: Accountant Department: Finance & Accounts Reporting To: Finance Manager Location: Dubai, UAEJob SummaryWe are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the company’s financial transactions, maintain accurate accounting records, and support the preparation of financial reports. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, UAE VAT requirements, and financial reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.Prepare and process invoices, payment requests, purchase orders, and other financial documents.Perform bank, cash, and supplier reconciliations.Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments and receivables.Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and supporting documentation.Assist with payroll-related financial records and employee expense reimbursements.Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns.Support internal and external audits by providing the required documents and financial information.Monitor project expenses, petty cash, and other company expenditures.Coordinate with suppliers, clients, banks, and internal departments regarding financial matters.Assist management with budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial planning.Maintain proper filing and documentation of all accounting records.Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by management. RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum 2–5 years of accounting experienceStrong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations is preferred.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Experience with Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software is an advantage.Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.Good written and verbal communication skills in English.Preferred QualificationsExperience in the UAE Knowledge of project accounting, cost control, and subcontractor payments.Professional accounting certifications or qualifications are an advantage.Salary: To be discussed based on qualifications and experience.
