The organization’s portfolio includes construction of pumping stations and comprehensive operation and maintenance services, providing stable, long-term projects and exposure to critical infrastructure work.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Tirunelveli. The Accountant will manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. The role involves preparing invoices, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring timely payments and collections. The Accountant will assist in preparing financial reports, supporting budgeting, and monitoring project expenses in line with company policies. The position also includes handling tax documentation, coordinating with auditors, maintaining compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting management with financial data for decision-making.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Candidates with B.Com, M.Com, MBA in Finance, CA Inter, CMA Inter, or equivalent accounting/finance qualifications are preferred.2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance functions. Experience in infrastructure, construction, engineering services, or project-based organizations is an added advantage.Strong knowledge of financial accounting and bookkeeping, including ledger maintenance, bank reconciliation, journal entries, and trial balance preparation.Ability to manage accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, vendor and client accounts, and payment follow-ups.Experience in tax documentation, statutory compliance, and coordination with auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.Proficiency in Tally, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software, with good working knowledge of MS Excel and basic financial reporting tools. Experience with Zoho Books is preferred.Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other applicable statutory accounting requirements is preferred.CA / CA Inter / CMA Inter qualification or progress toward professional accounting qualifications will be considered an added advantage.Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines in a project-based work environment.Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with project, procurement, operations, and management teams.Ability to work independently, maintain accurate financial records, and handle multiple accounting activities within specified timelines.
