Working closely with senior finance professionals and business owners, you will assist with month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, compliance and general accounting requirements.The position would suit someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work and is comfortable managing multiple clients and competing priorities. You will have the opportunity to build strong client relationships, gain exposure to commercial decision-making and continue developing your technical and advisory skills.Key Responsibilities:Complete month-end accounting, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance-sheet reconciliations.Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and supporting commentary.Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow reporting.Prepare and review profit and loss statements, balance sheets and other financial reports.Support the preparation and lodgement of BAS, IAS and other statutory requirements.Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger activities where required.Complete bank, credit card and intercompany reconciliations.Assist clients with payroll processing, superannuation and associated reconciliations.Identify discrepancies, investigate variances and ensure financial information is complete and accurate.Assist with the development and improvement of financial processes, controls and reporting.Support finance-system implementations and process-improvement projects.Liaise directly with clients, external accountants, auditors and other stakeholders.Manage multiple client requirements and ensure deadlines are consistently met.Provide general accounting and commercial support to senior team members and clients.Skills & Experience:Previous experience in a broad Accountant, Assistant Accountant or Management Accountant position.Degree qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Business or a related discipline.CA or CPA qualification, or progress toward completion, would be advantageous.Strong understanding of month-end accounting, reconciliations and financial reporting.Experience preparing BAS, budgets, forecasts and cash-flow reports.Confident working across multiple entities, businesses or client portfolios.Strong Excel skills and experience using cloud-based accounting systems such as Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks.Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging directly with clients.Proactive, adaptable and comfortable working within a growing and evolving business.High level of accuracy, attention to detail and professional integrity.Culture:This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative team where your contribution will be genuinely valued.
