Company Description Maison Tini is a Dubai-based kids concept store offering a curated, design-led shopping experience for children and families. We bring together premium children’s brands across toys, books, clothing, furniture, décor and lifestyle products through our physical showroom and e-commerce platforms. As a growing SME with retail, e-commerce, B2B, events and consignment operations, we are looking for a hands-on Accountant to take ownership of our day-to-day accounting function and financial reporting.Role Description The Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of Maison Tini, ensuring our accounts are accurate, up to date and closed on time.This is a hands-on role for someone who is highly organized, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of the accounting function within a fast-paced SME environment. The Accountant will work closely with management and provide clear, reliable visibility over the financial position of the business.Key Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting, ensuring transactions are accurately and promptly recordedTake ownership of the monthly closing process and prepare accurate P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable reportsManage accounts receivable and payable, including invoicing, supplier payments and proactive follow-up on outstanding receivablesReconcile bank accounts, sales, cash and payment gateways across our retail, e-commerce and B2B channelsManage inventory accounting, including stock purchases, landed costs, inventory reconciliation and investigation of discrepanciesManage consignment accounting, including monthly sales reporting, invoice reconciliation and payments to consignment partnersPerform monthly balance-sheet reconciliations and ensure discrepancies and outstanding accounting issues are resolved promptlyPrepare payments, monitor upcoming liabilities and receivables, and support cash-flow planning and forecastingPrepare VAT reconciliations and returns and support UAE Corporate Tax and other statutory filing requirementsMaintain accurate and organized accounting records and supporting documentationProvide management with timely financial reporting and clear visibility over cash flow, profitability, receivables and payablesTake ownership of accounting processes, proactively identify and resolve issues, and continuously improve internal financial controls and processesQualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related fieldMinimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the UAEStrong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax and local accounting requirementsPrevious experience in retail, e-commerce, consumer goods or an inventory-based business is strongly preferredStrong experience with inventory accounting, reconciliations and landed-cost allocationExperience managing accounts receivable, accounts payable and month-end closingProficiency in accounting software and strong Microsoft Excel skillsExperience with Shopify and e-commerce/payment gateway reconciliations is an advantageACCA, CPA or other relevant professional qualification is an advantageWe are looking for someone who is:Highly detail-oriented and organizedProactive and comfortable taking full ownership of their responsibilitiesAble to identify discrepancies and follow through until they are resolvedComfortable working independently without requiring continuous follow-upAble to prioritize and meet reporting and filing deadlinesA strong communicator who can confidently follow up with customers, suppliers and other external partnersComfortable working in a hands-on, fast-moving SME environment
