About PetroMarinePetroMarine Offshore Projects Support Co. provides marine and offshore support services through its fleet and project operations across Egypt and the region.RoleWe are seeking a full-time Accountant to join our Finance Department at our office in the 5th Settlement, New Cairo. The role focuses on daily accounting, financial reporting, vessel and project cost control, tax compliance, and supporting stronger financial controls across the company.Key Responsibilities• Record financial transactions, journal entries, and general-ledger accounts.• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, and supplier balances.• Prepare bank, cash, customer, and supplier reconciliations.• Support month-end and year-end closing, trial-balance review, and management reporting.• Track costs separately for each vessel and offshore project.• Monitor maintenance, spare-parts, fuel, crew, travel, port, and service expenses.• Review supplier invoices against purchase orders, approvals, and delivery or completion documents.• Control and reconcile advances issued to vessel and office personnel.• Handle Egyptian VAT, withholding tax, e-invoicing, and supporting schedules.• Monitor cash flow, outstanding liabilities, and payment priorities.• Support budgeting, audits, and improvements to accounting and ERP procedures.• Coordinate with Operations, Technical, Purchasing, Stores, Crewing, and vessel personnel.Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.• At least 3 years of accounting or auditing experience.• Practical experience with general ledger, AP, AR, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing.• Knowledge of Egyptian VAT, withholding tax, and ETA e-invoicing.• Good Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP experience.• Good written and spoken English.• Strong accuracy, integrity, organisation, and problem-solving skills.• Able to work full-time on-site in the 5th Settlement, New Cairo.Accounting experience in marine services, offshore operations, ship management, oil and gas, or another project-based business is strongly preferred.
