Accountant

Location: Umm Al Quwain, UAEPay: 4,000.00 - 5,000.00 (AED) per monthWe are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with 3–4 years of experience to join our finance team at Gulf Orchid Perfume Manufacturing. The candidate will handle day-to-day accounting functions, receivables and payables, routine banking operations, and UAE VAT reporting.Key Responsibilities:Manage Accounts Receivable, track customer payments, and follow up on overdue balances.Reconcile customer accounts and issue accurate sales invoices and statements.Process Accounts Payable, verify supplier invoices, and schedule payments on time.Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies.Perform daily bank reconciliations and track incoming and outgoing transactions.Handle routine banking operations, including wire transfers, cheque preparation, and cash management.Maintain petty cash funds, verify receipts, and record disbursements accurately.Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and verify tax treatment on invoices.Prepare VAT summaries and support the filing of periodic VAT returns with the FTA.Post daily journal entries into the ERP system and maintain the general ledger.Perform monthly financial closing procedures, including account reconciliations, journal adjustments (accruals/prepayments).Assist in tracking basic production and operational expenses.Prepare monthly trial balances and support year-end audit preparations.Maintain organized physical and digital accounting files and records.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3 to 4 years of experience in general accounting (manufacturing or trading background is preferred).Hands-on experience in UAE VAT regulations and bank reconciliation procedures.Proficiency in using ERP accounting systems and MS Excel.Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) is required.Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
