L.L.CReports To: Group Head · Accounting & Tax AdvisoryAbout Us:We are a multi-entity real estate valuation, advisory and brokerage group operating across Dubai, Ajman and Abu Dhabi, with a supporting team in India. Our businesses include Reliant Surveyors, a valuation and advisory practice with roots going back to 1977, alongside our real estate valuation services, brokerage and corporate advisory entities. The finance function supports all group entities from a shared team in Dubai. We are building our systems and processes properly rather than inheriting them, so there is genuine scope for someone to shape how things are done.Purpose Of The Role: To maintain accurate and timely accounting records across all group entities, support the Group Head · Accounting & Tax Advisory in monthly reporting and statutory compliance, and keep the transactional side of finance running cleanly day to day. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable owning the ledger and working across several sets of books at once.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral ledger and bookkeepingRecord and classify all financial transactions across group entities accurately and on time.Maintain general ledgers, journals and supporting schedules for each entity separately.Perform bank, cash, card and ledger reconciliations on a monthly cycle.Maintain the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals and depreciation runs.Post accruals, prepayments and month-end adjusting entries under the Group Head · Accounting & Tax Advisory’s review.Investigate discrepancies and unreconciled items, and escalate anything material rather than parking it.Multi-entity and intercompany accountingMaintain separate books for each licensed entity in line with its trade licence and activity.Record intercompany transactions, recharges and cost allocations, and reconcile intercompany balances monthly.Maintain the cost allocation basis for shared services, staff and overheads across entities.Support the Group Head · Accounting & Tax Advisory in preparing consolidated management accounts.Accounts payable and receivableProcess supplier invoices, verify against purchase orders and approvals, and prepare payment runs for approval.Maintain the accounts receivable ledger, raise client invoices and issue statements of account.Monitor ageing across debtors and creditors, and produce monthly ageing reports with commentary on overdue balances.Follow up on outstanding receivables with the relevant business heads and flag collection risk early.Reconcile supplier and client statements and resolve differences.Payroll and employee costsPrepare monthly payroll input in coordination with HR, including attendance, overtime, leave and any deductions.Process salary payments through the Wages Protection System within MOHRE timelines.Post payroll journals and reconcile the payroll control account each month.Maintain provisions for end of service gratuity, annual leave and air ticket entitlements in line with UAE Labour Law.Process final settlements on separation in coordination with HR, and reconcile against the leaver's accrued entitlements.Process staff reimbursements, advances and petty cash.VAT and Corporate TaxMaintain VAT records and supporting documentation to FTA standards across all registered entities.Prepare VAT return workings, including output and input tax reconciliations, for Group Head · Accounting & Tax Advisory review and filing.Apply the correct VAT treatment across entity activities, including zero-rated, exempt and reverse charge items.Maintain records and schedules required for Corporate Tax computation and filing.Track filing and payment deadlines, and prepare submissions well ahead of due dates.Support the Finance Manager in responding to FTA queries, clarifications or audits.ReportingPrepare monthly entity level management accounts including profit and loss, balance sheet and supporting schedules.Produce cash flow and bank position reporting.Prepare variance analysis against budget and prior period, with a short explanation of the drivers.Assist with the annual budget and periodic forecasting cycle.Prepare ad hoc financial analysis requested by the Group Head · Accounting & Tax Advisory or management.Audit and controlsPrepare year end schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation for external audit.Respond to auditor queries and provide requested samples and explanations.Maintain complete and organised financial documentation, in physical and digital form, so records are audit ready at any point.Apply internal financial controls consistently and raise gaps or workarounds with the Finance Manager.Maintain strict confidentiality over financial, payroll and commercially sensitive information.Systems and processMaintain the accounting system, chart of accounts and reporting structures.Support system improvements, data migration and automation of manual processes.Build and maintain standard templates, checklists and reporting packs.Recommend practical improvements to accuracy, speed and control.Candidate profileEssentialBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the UAE.Working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements.Practical experience of bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and month-end close.Experience preparing management accounts and supporting schedules.Experience with an accounting system such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, Tally or similar.Strong Excel skills including lookups and pivot tables.Good written and spoken English.PreferredExperience maintaining books for more than one legal entity, including intercompany accounting.Exposure to UAE payroll and WPS processing.Experience in real estate, valuation, brokerage or professional services.Exposure to RERA requirements and brokerage commission accounting.AttributesAccurate and methodical, with genuine attention to detail.Well organised and able to work to a fixed monthly close calendar.Willing to ask when unsure rather than guess.Discreet, particularly around payroll and management information.Comfortable in a growing business where processes are
