As a nonprofit FQHC serving Greater Houston, we are committed to improving lives through compassionate, patient-centered care.Why You'll Love Working HereMission-driven organization serving diverse communitiesSupportive and collaborative team environmentOpportunities for career growth and developmentFast-paced role where every interaction makes a differenceAbility to positively impact the patient experience every dayWhat You'll Do & BringAs an Accountant, you'll serve as key financial partner, ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting the business with timely, insightful financial information.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate and complete accounting records by recording financial transactions in the general ledger and appropriate subsidiary ledgers.Prepare and post routine and month-end journal entries, including revenue and expense accruals, reclassifications, and other adjusting entries.Perform monthly balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations, research reconciling items, and resolve discrepancies timely.Perform bank and cash account reconciliations and ensure cash receipts, deposits, and disbursements are accurately recorded.Provide accounting support for accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including transaction review, payment processing, cash application, and follow-up on outstanding items.Assist with month-end and year-end close activities to support timely and accurate financial reporting.Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reports, schedules, and analyses for management and other stakeholders.Review financial data for completeness, accuracy, appropriate coding, and adequate supporting documentation.Maintain ledgers, journals, account schedules, and other accounting records in an organized and audit-ready manner.What You BringAssociate Degree in Accounting, finance, or related fieldBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (required)Any relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably in healthcare or nonprofit sectorsStrong attention to detail and a high level of accuracyExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel, accounting software (MIP experience preferred), and general ledger systemsPreferredWorking knowledge and experience with MIP and QuickbooksExperience working with multi-entity accounting structuresReady to Make a Difference?Join a team dedicated to creating exceptional patient experiences while expanding access to quality healthcare throughout our communities.Apply today and grow your career with MyCHN.
