Accountant

Job purpose:We are looking for a detailed-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing vendor accounts, ensuring accurate invoice processing, conducting statement reconciliations, and maintaining seamless coordination with procurement and banking operations.

Key Responsibilities

Reviewing supplier invoices by ensuring the accuracy and validity of procurement entries, verifying cost management review, and posting them to accounts.Reviewing supplier accounts monthly through account statement reconciliations and resolving discrepancies promptly.Performing quarterly and annual reconciliations and carrying forward statements throughout the year.Scheduling payments to suppliers according to agreements made by the procurement department (payment terms).Updating payment terms for suppliers and exploring options to extend grace periods with procurement.Preparing payment vouchers by the 3rd of the following month at the latest.Reviewing and tracking advance payments made to suppliers and reconciling them in Payables & General Ledger (GL).Recording customs clearance invoices for foreign purchases.Recording executed transfer journal entries on a daily basis in coordination with bank accountants.Performing any other duties assigned by the direct manager.Requirements & skills:Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) or a similar accounting role.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable processes, General Ledger (GL), and proficiency in ERP accounting systems (e.g., MS Dynamics).Excellent attention to detail, strong numerical ability, and effective time management.Excellent communication in English and Arabic.
