Accountant – Travel Agency Experience RequiredCompany DescriptionPera Travel is a Dubai-based travel agency focused on creating personalized travel experiences and delivering high-quality service to clients. Our team manages international flights, hotels, tours, transfers, holiday packages, suppliers, and customer bookings across multiple destinations.We are looking for an experienced Travel Agency Accountant who understands the financial and accounting processes specific to the travel industry.Role DescriptionThe Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounts of Pera Travel, with particular focus on travel bookings, supplier payments, customer collections, refunds, commissions, and booking profitability.The successful candidate must already understand how accounting works within a travel agency and be comfortable reconciling transactions involving airlines, hotels, DMCs, tour operators, payment gateways, and other travel suppliers.Key responsibilities include:Managing accounting for flight, hotel, transfer, tour and holiday package bookingsRecording and reconciling customer payments and outstanding balancesManaging supplier invoices, payments, credit notes and outstanding balancesReconciling airline, hotel, DMC and other travel supplier statementsTracking the cost, selling price, commission and profit margin of individual bookingsManaging cancellations, amendments, refunds and supplier/client creditsReconciling bank accounts, card/POS transactions and online payment gatewaysManaging accounts payable and accounts receivablePreparing invoices, receipts and payment recordsMonitoring daily cash flow and upcoming supplier payment deadlinesPreparing monthly sales, cost, profit and outstanding-payment reportsSupporting VAT, financial reporting, month-end closing and UAE accounting complianceMaintaining accurate records for management and external auditorsQualificationsTravel agency accounting experience is mandatory.Candidates must have previous experience working specifically as an Accountant within a travel agency, tour operator or travel management company and understand travel-industry accounting workflows.A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, along with strong Excel and accounting-software skills.
