Department: Finance & AccountsJob Type: On-SiteAbout the RoleSwiftNine is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our Dubai team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, handling reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements.The candidate should have strong accounting fundamentals, excellent attention to detail, and practical experience working with UAE accounting and tax requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.Maintain accurate general ledger and financial records.Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, journal entries, and related documentation.Perform regular bank, supplier, customer, and ledger reconciliations.Prepare monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.Monitor company expenses, payments, receivables, and outstanding balances.Manage petty cash and maintain proper expense records.Prepare financial and management reports as required by management.Support budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and financial analysis.Maintain proper documentation for internal and external audits.Coordinate with auditors, banks, tax consultants, and other financial stakeholders when required.Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.UAE Tax & CompliancePrepare and maintain records required for UAE VAT compliance.Assist with VAT calculations, reconciliations, and return filing through the FTA portal.Support UAE Corporate Tax compliance, calculations, documentation, and filing requirements.Ensure tax-related records and supporting documents are properly maintained.Stay updated with relevant UAE accounting, VAT, and Corporate Tax requirements.Coordinate with external tax advisors/auditors where required.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.2–4 years of relevant accounting experience; UAE experience will be preferred.Strong practical knowledge of bookkeeping and general accounting.Working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.Experience with bank reconciliation, AP/AR, financial reporting, and month-end closing.Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Xero, Tally, Odoo, or similar ERP systems.Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Good written and verbal communication skills in English.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Preferred QualificationsACCA, CA, CMA, CPA, or relevant professional qualification/certification.Previous experience in a UAE-based company.Practical experience with FTA portal, VAT filing, and Corporate Tax compliance.Experience in handling complete accounting cycles.Experience with technology, IT, services, or multi-entity businesses will be an advantage.What We’re Looking ForWe are looking for someone who is:Detail-oriented and highly organized.Responsible and trustworthy with financial information.Proactive and capable of working independently.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Strong in financial analysis and problem-solving.Able to meet strict reporting and tax deadlines.Professional in communication and stakeholder management.What We OfferCompetitive salary package based on experience and skills.Professional and growth-oriented work environment.Career development opportunities.UAE employment benefits as per company policy and applicable UAE regulations.Interested candidates can share their updated CV with their current location, UAE experience, notice period, current salary, and expected salary.
