The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journals and ledgers, and ensuring timely posting of all transactions. Daily tasks include handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, tracking expenses, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The role also involves preparing financial reports, assisting with budgeting, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations. The Accountant will collaborate with operational and management teams to provide financial insights, support decision-making, and ensure efficient internal controls.Qualifications Strong foundation in accounting principles, including experience with general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliation.Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, with the ability to work with spreadsheets, financial models, and reporting tools.Solid analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.Knowledge of local tax rules, compliance requirements, and audit processes relevant to business operations.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and present financial information clearly.Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, ACCA or equivalent) are an advantage.Previous experience as an Accountant or in a similar finance role; experience in diversified or group businesses is beneficial.
