Accountant

Role OverviewShipping Company is hiring an Accountant to join their dynamic team. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing accurate financial reports, and ensuring compliance with applicable financial standards and regulations. The successful candidate will also handle budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, while maintaining strong collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Additionally, this position includes responsibility for managing bank payments, receipts, and reconciliations.Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain daily accounting operations and records.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports.
• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of all financial data.
• Conduct internal audits and ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
• Oversee and execute bank payments, receipts, and account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure timely and precise financial reporting.
• Contribute to the preparation of management reports and financial summaries.Qualifications and SkillsSolid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.Proven ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.Experience in creating and analysing management reports in Excel.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
