Purpose Efficient day to day operations within the accounts department serving Non IBA functions that includes ledger keeping, payment runs, expenses, reconciliations, report preparations etc.Key Tasks & Duties Assist in the preparation of files for auditors.Assist in filing tax returns for all entities.Reconciliation of files related to Tax for audit purpose.Perform/Manage accounts activities which may include scanning and expense coding, making supplier payment runs etc. Reconciliation of ledger accounts each month (i.e. Prepayments, Accruals, Interco etc.).Check and verify all expenses submitted are accurate before seeking necessary approval for payments. Ensure all expenses and supplier payments are made on time and in accordance with payment terms. All supplier statements are reviewed, queries and copy invoices obtained as required.Any urgent payments are dealt with in a timely manner and processed in the bank payment portal.Monthly verifying and processing of staff expense reimbursements.Responsible for Balance sheet reconciliations.Where necessary suppliers account is reconciled and clear any discrepancies.Assist in the preparations and posting of journals.Ensure all receipts and payments are correctly categorized, scanned and filed (manual and electronic)Generate month end reports from IBA system and mapping the same to Corporate systems.Responsible for month end closings (Revenue & Expenses) and mapping to UK system.Splitting of revenue & expenses- cost centre wise.Coordinate with different departments for obtaining data required (accruals etc)Preparation of monthly (quarterly/yearly as and when required) P&L and compare to budget, identify and report the variance.Assist in the Budgeting & Forecasting process.Preparation of monthly Cash flow report.Coordinate with other regional entities and obtain necessary documents.Preparation of IT and Digital analysis and conduct meeting with the departments concerned.Preparation of monthly Finance Reports for all regions.Preparation of LPO as and when requested by different departments.Preparation of different reports for the regulatory return filing (DFSA, Central Bank etc)Attending the new system implementation meetings and provide necessary assistance.Competencies:Ability to build and maintain good business relationships with clients, insurers, and associates.Personal presence to interface with management of other businesses, insurers, and other third-party providers, representing Lockton in the highest professional manner.A thorough knowledge of the computer desktop software provided by Lockton.A working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software applications.Reasonable typing and keyboard skills.Ability to manage time, prioritize and ensure that deadlines are met without compromising quality.A thorough understanding of and adherence to Lockton standards and procedures.Ability to develop and implement internal controls and procedures.Ability to assist FD and other Associates with the development and implementation of internal controls and procedures to ensure the performance of Associates necessary for excellence in client delivery and satisfaction.An understanding of Lockton cash collection processes including but not limited to general insurance accounting and financial accounting.Awareness of other service providers and their products as related to risk management.Protects the confidentiality of information learned by performing position duties.Work in support of other team colleagues.Officership Behaviours - AssociateProvide excellence in service to our clients, our Markets, & our associates Takes personal responsibility for managing internal and external client relationships.Takes pride in and accountability for understanding and exceeding client expectations.Focuses on adding value.Delivers what the client expects, knows what they desire, and impresses them by delivering the unexpectedWritten and verbal communication is clear and concise.Provide commitment to the development of ourselves and our associatesAttend in house classes and workshops for continuing development.Attend training programs, conferences or courses to improve present job skills.Complete all mandatory training within agreed timescales.Take responsibility for own career and development.Treat all associates with dignity, fairness and respect.Represents Lockton well within the community.Be Committed to enabling financial success Promotes growth through excellence in service provided.Identifies and promotes cross selling opportunities.Works with clients, markets & associates to ensure cash management is within agreed standards and targets.Drive service excellence, efficiency, and productivity through effective business operational processes Demonstrates flexibility to change.Identifies improvement opportunities.Ensures quality is evidenced.Ensures compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements through following Lockton policies and procedures.Maintains specialised knowledge in order to provide maximum value to the client.
