Lexdan Select is assisting a company in the agri/manufacturing sector with their search for a Debtors Accountant based in Klapmuts, Cape Winelands.Salary between R25 000 - R33 000 pmDuties and responsibilities:Issue accurate and timely sales invoices and credit notes to customers.Process daily cashbook entries and ensure the cashbook remains fully up to date.Process and allocate incoming customer payments against correct invoices daily.Monitor customer accounts for overdue balances and chase payments via email and telephone.Prepare payment refund runs for approval by management. This includes local and overseas customers.Perform monthly reconciliations of the sales ledger control account.Management the full credit application process. Add new customers to the accounting system.Investigate and resolve customer billing disputes and internal queries quickly.Prepare weekly and monthly aging reports and cash flow forecasts.Prepare monthly customer statements and distribute via email.Identify opportunities for systems and process improvement within the accounts receivable function.Assist with month-end and year-end closing and audit requests relating to trade receivables.Requirements and SkillsNational Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping (preferred).Minimum 5 years' experience in a Finance, Sales Ledger Accountant, Debtors Controller, or Accounts Receivable Accountant.Experience using Sage 200, Acumatica, SAP Business One, Pastel Evolution, Xero, or similar ERP/accounting systems.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting, analysis, and financial modelling.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Experience working within an import/export, wholesale, distribution, manufacturing, or international trading environment.Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with UK-based colleagues.
