Join our team to be a key factor in redefining the optical communication industry and building an efficiently connected world!Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Entry-Level Accountant to join our accounting team. This position will support day-to-day bookkeeping, bank and account reconciliations, accounts payable, and month-end closing activities.The ideal candidate has a basic understanding of accounting principles, is comfortable working with Excel, and is eager to develop hands-on experience in general accounting and financial operations.Key Responsibilities· Perform daily bookkeeping and accurately record financial transactions· Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger· Record and review invoices, expenses, payments, and other accounting transactions· Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities· Review transactions for accuracy, proper account classification, and supporting documentation· Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and documentation· Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations· Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies· Compare accounting records with bank statements and supporting documents· Research and resolve outstanding or unusual transactions· Assist with the monthly closing process· Review account balances and identify unusual or incorrect transactions· Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, and other month-end journal entries· Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely· Assist with audit and tax preparation by providing supporting documentation· Communicate with internal departments and vendors regarding accounting-related questions· Assist with improving accounting procedures and internal controls· Perform other accounting duties and special projects as assignedQualifications· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred· 0–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience· Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and debits/credits· Basic understanding of month-end closing procedures· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas and functions· Strong attention to detail and accuracy· Good analytical and problem-solving skills· Strong organizational and time-management skills· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines· Good written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Skills· QuickBooks Online experience· Experience with general ledger accounting· Experience with bank and credit card reconciliationsPay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hourExpected hours: 40.0 per week
