Junior Accountant – FoodserviceTree of Life Foodservice Company | Saudi ArabiaAbout UsTree of Life is a Riyadh based foodservice company with operations across several countries. Our work covers sourcing, distribution and foodservice solutions, serving the varied needs of hospitality businesses across the region.The RoleAs a Junior Accountant, you will support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and completing daily accounting activities for our foodservice distribution business. Working under the guidance of the finance lead, you will record transactions, reconcile balances and assist with inventory accounting, tax documentation and month end closing. You will also coordinate with sales, procurement and warehouse teams to ensure transactions are properly documented and discrepancies are resolved promptly.Key ResponsibilitiesRecord sales, purchases, expenses, receipts and payments in Odoo, ensuring each entry has the correct supporting documents and account classification.Prepare and check customer invoices and credit notes, and verify supplier invoices against purchase orders and goods receipt records.Reconcile bank accounts, petty cash and customer and supplier balances, investigating differences with the relevant teams.Maintain receivables and payables schedules, prepare customer statements and support payment follow-up with sales and finance.Assist with inventory reconciliations and stock counts, and check the supporting records for returns, damaged goods, expiry related write-offs and other stock adjustments.Assist with allocating freight, customs and clearance charges to imported goods under the finance lead’s supervision.Support month end closing through reconciliations and schedules for accruals and prepayments, and organise records for reporting and external audits.Qualifications and ExperienceA bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.Preferably 1–3 years of accounting experience, with experience in food and beverage businesses, foodservice or food distribution strongly preferred.A sound understanding of double entry bookkeeping, accounts receivable and payable, bank reconciliations and basic inventory accounting.Experience using accounting software or an ERP system/hand on experience with Odoo is an advantage.Good Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookup functions and pivot tables for reconciliations and reporting.Basic familiarity with Saudi VAT and electronic invoicing requirements; experience in the Saudi or GCC market is an advantage.Strong attention to detail, organization and follow up skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and handle financial information confidentially.Very good written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate in Arabic.What We OfferA competitive salary package.Annual incentives linked to performance and agreed KPIs.Medical insurance.Opportunities for professional development and career progression as the company expands.How to ApplySend your CV to hr@treeoflife.me with “Junior Accountant” in the subject line
