Day-to-day tasks include preparing and posting journal entries, maintaining accurate ledgers, and assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. The role involves monitoring costs across projects and operational activities, analyzing variances, and providing insights to support budgeting and forecasting. The Accountant/Cost Controller will collaborate with operations and finance teams to ensure compliance with internal controls, reconcile accounts, support audits, and contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong cost accounting skills, including cost analysis, variance tracking, and cost allocation.Candidates should possess skills in preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.Candidates should possess solid analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights for decision-making.Candidates should possess experience with journal entries and core accounting processes, including ledger maintenance and account reconciliation.Candidates should possess a good foundation in finance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow awareness.Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) are an advantage.Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, with attention to detail and strong numerical skills.Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi, manage multiple deadlines, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and uphold ethical and confidentiality standards.
