Come and join us in defining and bringing to life the future of work!About the Role:We're looking for a CA or CPA qualified Accountant to own the day-to-day accounting and finance operations for a growing, technology-enabled services business. This is a hands-on role focused on Australian and consolidated group accounting, with responsibility for the full month-end close, tax compliance, and payroll coordination across multiple jurisdictions.You'll work closely with, and report directly to, the Finance Manager, and will direct an offshore accountant who supports transactional processing. This is a genuine opportunity to build technical depth working with private, venture-backed and PE-backed businesses, with a clear path to take on additional clients or step into broader portfolio responsibility as the business grows.Key Responsibilities:Manage and execute the full month-end close process, including accruals, deferrals, FX revaluation and balance sheet reconciliationsPerform first-pass accounting consolidations and prepare management and statutory reporting packsConduct variance analysis against budget and forecast, and support board reporting with financial commentaryOwn accounts payable and receivable processing, including policy and approval matrix documentationManage BAS/IAS lodgements and coordinate with external tax advisorsCoordinate payroll delivery across Australia and international jurisdictions, including payroll tax and superannuation complianceDirect, review and coach an offshore accounting resource to ensure quality and accuracy of deliveryMaintain documented accounting processes and drive opportunities for automation and process improvementProvide structured reporting to the Finance Manager on portfolio status, compliance deadlines and team performanceWhat You Need to Be Successful:CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent)Australian working rights (essential)Prior experience as an Accountant or Senior Accountant in a hands-on role, including month-end close ownershipStrong technical grounding in accounting standards, reconciliations, accruals and statutory reportingExperience managing or reviewing offshore/outsourced resources, with the ability to coach for improvementExperience with tax compliance, BAS/IAS lodgements and payroll accountingStrong working knowledge of Xero or similar cloud accounting platforms; familiarity with consolidation tools (e.g. Fathom) highly regardedExcellent Excel skillsComfortable working directly with stakeholders on technical accounting mattersA stable employment history is preferred — ideally 3+ years in your current role, demonstrating consistency and resilience
