The Accountant will be responsible for preparing appropriate financial assessments, accounting records and other information, allowing senior management to make informed business decisions and thereby improve the organization’s profitability.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist financial controller with periodic financial forecasting as and when requiredControl activities such as taxation, credit policies, costing and expense controlsEnsure activities comply with legal, professional and ethical standardsEnsure that financial processes and controls comply with all legal requirements, and with best practice Ensure that the company continues to comply with the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (U.S.A.)Liaison with the organization’s internal & external auditors providing relevant supporting documentation as requiredManage resource(s) effectively to control general accounting functions and processes are maintained appropriatelyMeasure performance against budgets and prepare variation, control and statistical reports as requiredPrepare cash flow statements on a periodic basis for review by financial controller to ensure cash flow is kept under controlPrepare monthly and annual reports in accordance with management and statutory requirementsPrepare payment runs to ensure vendors are paid to payment termsReview and interpret accounting and statistical information to ensure it is completely accurate before submissionSupport the annual budgeting process as and when required to ensure timely submissionSupport the local management team with relevant financial assistance as and when requiredSupport the Financial Controller with relevant assistance and advice as requiredAbout YouWe are looking for a motivated and technically excellent accounting professional with:Education:Degree in Business Accounting/FinanceGlobally recognized accountancy qualification Experience:Bank Reconciliation and Foreign Currency transactionsFinancial Reporting including statutory and audit reportingGeneral Ledger ReconciliationsHigh level of computer skills – Accounting systems, Microsoft Suite – Advanced Excel experience essentialMinimum of two years’ post qualification experienceStakeholder management experience to ensure effective business partneringPersonal Attributes:Ability to work independently to meet deadlinesEffective time management and organizational skillsHigh level of initiativeHigh level communication skills
