In this role, you will manage entity-level P&Ls and balance sheets, ensure strict compliance with IFRS, perform detailed account reconciliations, and establish strong balance sheet controls to deliver precise, timely financial insights to management. Combining technical accounting expertise with a practical understanding of business operations, particularly within contract-driven, inventory, and cost-heavy environments, your expertise will ensure sound internal controls, seamless collaboration between operational sites and Head Office Finance, and maximum financial integrity. Working closely with Commercial Management, Procurement, Site Operations, Internal Audit, and Corporate Finance, the team ensures financial clarity, precise forecasting, and regulatory compliance.We are committed to maintaining accurate books of accounts, adhering to applicable international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and corporate policies, and providing an efficient financial support framework for our business units. Through proactive analysis, meticulous attention to detail, and continuous process optimization, the team contributes to a robust and transparent business environment.Your RoleFinancial Accounting & ReportingManage the day-to-day financial accounting activities for multiple entities.Take ownership of the monthly P&L and balance sheet for assigned entities.Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reporting.Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing.Review financial results, investigate significant movements and identify unusual or non-recurring items.Ensure transactions are appropriately accounted for in accordance with IFRS and company accounting policies.Prepare supporting schedules and financial information for internal and external reporting requirements.Balance Sheet & Account ReconciliationsTake ownership of balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities.Review and clear reconciling items on a timely basis.Investigate aged, unusual or unsupported balances and ensure appropriate corrective action.Maintain robust supporting documentation for all significant balance sheet accounts.Review intercompany balances and ensure timely reconciliation and resolution of differences.Monitor provisions, accruals, prepayments, receivables, payables, fixed assets, inventory and other key balance sheet accounts.IFRS & Technical AccountingApply IFRS principles to day-to-day accounting transactions and financial reporting.Assess accounting treatment for complex or unusual transactions and ensure appropriate recognition, measurement and disclosure.Support the implementation of new accounting standards and changes in accounting policies.Prepare technical accounting assessments and supporting documentation where required.Liaise with auditors and provide appropriate schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation.Ensure audit queries are resolved accurately and within agreed deadlines.ContractsReview and understand customer and supplier contracts and their financial/accounting implications.Work with Commercial, Projects and Operations teams to understand contractual terms affecting revenue, costs, billing and cash flows.Support the appropriate accounting treatment of contract-related transactions.Understand key contractual mechanisms such as variations, retentions, advance payments, claims, milestones, certifications and payment terms.Assist with revenue recognition assessments and contract accounting, particularly within construction or project-based environments.Inventory & Cost AccountingReview and monitor inventory accounting and valuation where applicable.Ensure appropriate accounting for raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods.Review inventory provisions, slow-moving and obsolete inventory.Reconcile inventory sub-ledgers to the general ledger and investigate discrepancies.Support cost accounting activities and analysis where required.Understanding of manufacturing cost structures, product costing and cost allocation will be advantageous.Work closely with operational teams to improve financial controls over inventory and costs.Management & Business SupportProvide financial analysis and accounting insight to management.Analyse P&L performance and explain significant variances against budget, forecast and prior periods.Support budgeting and forecasting processes.Work closely with Finance Managers and operational stakeholders.Provide ad-hoc financial and accounting analysis to support business decisions.Identify opportunities to improve financial controls, processes and reporting.Internal Controls & Process ImprovementEnsure appropriate financial controls are maintained across assigned entities.Identify weaknesses in accounting processes and recommend improvements.Support the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.Improve the efficiency and accuracy of month-end and reporting processes.Ensure financial records are complete, accurate and adequately supported.What We’re Looking ForQualifications & ExperienceMinimum 5 years of relevant accounting experienceA bachelor’s degree and professional Accounting Qualification is mandatoryStrong knowledge and practical application of IFRS.Proven experience managing the accounting and reporting of multiple entities.Strong experience managing entity-level P&Ls and balance sheets.Extensive experience with balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close.Strong understanding of financial reporting, accruals, provisions and accounting adjustments.Experience working with external auditors and responding to audit requirements.Strong Excel and ERP skills.Excellent analytical and
