We're a lean, fast-moving team looking for our first dedicated finance hire to help build strong financial foundations as we scale.The RoleWe're looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support day-to-day bookkeeping and financial operations across our group entities. This is a great opportunity to grow with our startup and take ownership of core finance processes from the ground up.Areas of ResponsibilityBookkeeping & Financial RecordsInvoicing & Subscription ManagementXero-Based AccountingAI-Enabled Finance WorkflowsMaintain accurate books of accounts (accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries)Reconcile bank statements and company expenses on a monthly basisAssist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportsSupport VAT filing and compliance requirements under UAE regulationsTrack vendor invoices and contractor paymentsAssist with payroll processing and expense trackingSupport the founder with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requestsRequirementsQualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field1-2 years of accounting experience Comfortable working with accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar)Familiarity with UAE VAT and basic bookkeeping principles is a plusFluent in EnglishBenefitsFully remote role with flexible working hoursDirect exposure to building financial systems and processes at a startup from the ground upOpportunity to grow into a broader finance role as the company scalesBe part of an early team shaping the finance function of an AI-powered fintech platform
