The Accounting Associate is responsible for performing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate and complete financial records, and providing timely accounting support to the Finance & Accounting Manager. The position assists in the preparation, recording, reconciliation, and monitoring of financial transactions and reports, while ensuring compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable tax and regulatory requirements.1. General AccountingRecord and maintain accurate accounting transactions in the company's accounting system.Prepare and process journal entries, account schedules, and supporting accounting documents.Assist in maintaining the General Ledger and subsidiary ledgers.Ensure proper documentation and appropriate account classification of transactions.Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.2. Accounts Payable and Accounts ReceivableProcess invoices, billing documents, payment requests, and other accounts payable transactions.Verify invoices and supporting documents for completeness, accuracy, and proper approvals.Assist in monitoring accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances, as necessary.Prepare schedules and reports for payables and receivables.Coordinate with internal departments and vendors regarding accounting and payment-related concerns.3. Bank and Account ReconciliationPerform regular bank reconciliations and assist in reconciling various balance sheet and subsidiary accounts.Investigate and resolve discrepancies between accounting records and supporting documents.Monitor outstanding checks, deposits, and other reconciling items.4. Tax and Regulatory Compliance SupportAssist in the preparation and compilation of documents required for tax filings and regulatory submissions.Maintain organized records and supporting documents for tax and accounting purposes.Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable accounting, tax, and statutory requirements.Coordinate with the Finance & Accounting Manager on audit and regulatory requirements.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s Degree in AccountancyPreferably with 1–3 years of relevant accounting experienceFresh graduates with relevant internship experience may also be consideredExperience in a corporate, logistics, transportation, port, or other operational environment is a plusWork Location: In person
