Accounting Associate

Our client is a well-established investment firm managing significant assets across multiple investment strategies. The firm has a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is looking for an Accounting Associate to join its Finance team.ResponsibilitiesSupport the day-to-day accounting operations for the investment firmPrepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledgerAssist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closePerform account and bank reconciliationsSupport accounts payable and accounts receivable activitiesAssist with investment and portfolio accountingReconcile cash, investment activity, and other financial accountsAssist with financial reporting and management reportingPrepare schedules and supporting documentation for auditsWork with internal teams and external parties to resolve accounting discrepanciesAssist with ad hoc financial analysis and accounting projectsSupport the Finance team with process improvements and special projectsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field2-4 years of accounting experienceInvestment management, private equity, hedge fund, asset management, or financial services experience preferredStrong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principlesExperience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closeStrong Excel skillsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
