Accounting Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support daily financial operations in Acton, Massachusetts. This position will handle core accounting activities across payables, receivables, and record maintenance while helping keep transactions accurate and up to date. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with accounting software, managing invoices, and maintaining organized financial data in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, verify supporting details, and prepare payments in a timely manner.
• Record incoming customer payments and update account balances to maintain accurate receivable records.
• Enter financial information into accounting systems with a high level of accuracy and consistency.
• Maintain organized documentation for invoices, payment activity, and other accounting records.
• Use QuickBooks and related tools to support routine bookkeeping and transaction tracking.
• Review account information for discrepancies and assist with resolving billing or payment issues.
• Support ongoing invoice processing activities and help ensure financial records remain current.
• Experience supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and general accounting software.
• Strong data entry skills with close attention to accuracy.
• Knowledge of invoice handling and basic bookkeeping procedures.
• Ability to organize records and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Comfortable working with numbers and identifying discrepancies.
