Location: Chennai (Onsite)Role OverviewWe are looking for an Accounts Associate with strong hands-on experience in Tally Prime and bookkeeping.

The role will primarily focus on maintaining accurate books of accounts on an accrual basis and ensuring accounting entries are recorded in accordance with the applicable Accounting Standards and relevant provisions.Key ResponsibilitiesHandle day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting in Tally Prime.Pass purchase, sales, receipt, payment, journal and expense entries.Maintain books of accounts on an accrual basis.Record accruals, provisions, prepaid expenses, outstanding expenses and other period-end adjustments.Ensure accounting entries are recorded in accordance with applicable Accounting Standards and relevant provisions.Maintain and reconcile vendor, customer and other ledger accounts.Perform bank and ledger reconciliations.Verify invoices, bills and supporting documents before accounting.Assist in month-end and year-end closing of books.Support GST, TDS and statutory audit requirements.Coordinate for accounting queries, schedules and audit requirements.Ensure Tally is updated accurately and on a timely basis.Requirements2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.Strong practical knowledge of Tally Prime.Prior experience in a CA firm / audit office preferred.Good understanding of accrual accounting and period-end adjustments.Working knowledge of GST and TDS.Good Excel skills.B.Com / M.Com / MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.Ability to independently handle routine bookkeeping and resolve accounting entry-level issues.Key requirement: The candidate should be comfortable independently handling Tally entries, bookkeeping, reconciliations and accrual-based accounting.Perks & BenefitsCompetitive Salary & Performance Incentives: A market-competitive fixed compensation along with quarterly and annual performance-based bonuses tied to individual and organizational goals.Health & Wellness Coverage: Comprehensive group health insurance (including family floater option) covering hospitalization, day-care procedures, and preventive health check-ups.Skills: bookkeeping,accounting,tally erp,accounting standards
