Job descriptionAbu Alnaga is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in accounting principles combined with hands-on knowledge of the construction industry. You will play a key role in managing project financials, job costing, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across all construction operations.Key Responsibilities· Manage full-cycle accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations· Oversee job costing and track project budgets, costs, and profitability for multiple active construction projects· Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements· Process AIA billing / progress billing and manage subcontractor payments and lien waivers· Monitor and manage WIP (Work-in-Progress) schedules and over/under billing reports· Assist with payroll processing, including certified payroll for prevailing wage projects where applicable· Ensure compliance with tax regulations, construction contracts, and internal financial controls· Collaborate with project managers to forecast costs and track change orders· Support year-end audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors· Maintain and improve accounting procedures specific to construction operationsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field6–8 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the construction industryProficiency in construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint Vista, Procore, QuickBooks, or similar)Strong understanding of job costing, WIP reporting, and percentage-of-completion accountingKnowledge of AIA billing, subcontract management, and lien waiver processesFamiliarity with prevailing wage, certified payroll, and union reporting is a plusCPA or CPA candidate preferredExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentArabic Speaker preferredWhat We Offer· Competitive salary ranging from 5,000 to 6,000 commensurate with experience· Comprehensive benefits package· Opportunities for professional growth and advancement· Collaborative and supportive team environmentHow to ApplySubmit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your construction accounting experience to Career@abualnaga.com or apply directly through LinkedIn.
