Accounts Payable Accountant

The Accounts Payable Accountant is responsible for managing the company's accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, employee reimbursements, and payments. The role supports financial accuracy, maintains strong vendor relationships, and ensures compliance with company policies and accounting standards.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, review, and process supplier invoices after verifying supporting documents and required approvalsMatch invoices with purchase orders, goods receipt notes (GRNs), and contracts to ensure accuracyPrepare payment schedules and process payments in accordance with agreed payment termsReconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptlyMaintain accurate accounts payable records and ensure all transactions are properly recorded in the ERP systemCoordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, and other departments to resolve invoice and payment issuesProcess employee expense reimbursements in compliance with company policiesAssist in month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing AP reconciliations and accrualsMonitor outstanding payables and ensure timely settlement of liabilitiesPrepare reports related to accounts payable, aging analysis, and cash flow requirements.Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.Ensure compliance with company financial policies, tax regulations, and accounting standards.Maintain confidentiality of financial information and supplier records.Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of AP processes.QualificationBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.4 years of experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.Experience using ERP systems (SAP experience is a strong advantage).Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.Knowledge of Egyptian tax regulations and VAT requirements is preferred.
