Apply & track with Apply EdgeAccounts Receivable & Credit Control OfficerMorningside, Brisbane | $80-85k base | Flexible hybrid workingAbout the RoleOur client, a well-established and growing Brisbane business, is looking for an experienced and highly organised Accounts Receivable & Credit Control Officer to join their Finance Team. This is a hands-on role with primary responsibility for accounts receivable, debtor management and credit control, alongside broader bookkeeping and accounting support.This role suits someone who takes genuine ownership of the debtor book, is confident having firm but constructive conversations with customers, and enjoys the variety of supporting a wider Finance function.Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end accounts receivable function, including customer accounts, receipting and reconciliations
- Monitor the AR ageing report and proactively follow up overdue accounts
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, short payments and account queries
- Assist with credit applications, credit limits and ongoing credit risk monitoring (CreditWatch)
- Provide regular debtor ageing, collection and cash-flow reporting to Finance Management
- Support broader bookkeeping tasks including bank and general ledger reconciliations, journals, accruals and month-end processes
- Assist with BAS/GST preparation and support external accountants/auditors as requiredAbout You
- 7+ years' experience in accounts receivable, credit control, bookkeeping or a similar finance role
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline is preferred
- Experience with Xero preferred; exposure to CreditWatch or similar credit monitoring platforms highly regarded
- Strong reconciliation, general ledger and Excel skills
- Confident, professional communication style, especially when managing collections conversations
- A proactive, no-drama approach and the ability to work independentlyWhat's on Offer
- $80,000 - $85,000 base salary
