Accounts Receivable Clerk

Apply & track with Apply EdgeWe are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a growing revenue operations team. This position is well suited for an early-career accounting specialist who wants to strengthen their skills in billing, payment posting, collections, and account maintenance within a services environment. The role offers hands-on exposure to the full receivables cycle while partnering with finance and operational teams to support accurate and timely revenue activity.
Responsibilities
- Create and issue client invoices in line with billing timelines, contract terms, and documentation standards.
- Record and reconcile incoming payments received through electronic transfers, checks, and card transactions to keep customer accounts current.
- Follow up with clients on overdue balances through statements, reminders, and direct communication to support collection goals.
- Investigate payment discrepancies such as short remittances, unapplied cash, and disputed items, then coordinate resolution with internal teams.
- Maintain complete and accurate customer records, billing details, and account activity within NetSuite.
- Contribute to accounts receivable reporting, aging reviews, and month-end close tasks by preparing schedules and updating supporting data.
- Assist with timesheet and billing support activities to help ensure invoices are accurate and released on time.
- Provide administrative and project-based support to accounting and revenue operations initiatives, including process documentation and workflow improvements.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Up to 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, collections, cash application, or general accounting support.
- Familiarity with core receivables functions, including invoice processing, payment posting, and commercial collections.
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers and internal stakeholders regarding account balances and payment status.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage data accurately across multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Comfort working in accounting systems such as NetSuite or similar ERP platforms.
