CBOX Containers focuses on providing tailored container solutions to meet complex global logistics needs.About the roleCBOX is building a centralised Group Finance function in Dubai to support its international operations and continued growth.We are looking for a hands-on Accounts Receivable Specialist to take ownership of customer receivables, collections, cash allocation, credit control and debtor-related processes across the CBOX Group.This role goes beyond sending reminders. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate customer balances, resolving billing and payment issues, managing collection activities, supporting debtor financing and insurance processes, and providing reliable visibility over overdue receivables and working-capital risk.The role will also take ownership of the accounts receivable activities currently handled within the Netherlands Finance function and support their transition into the central UAE Finance team.Key responsibilitiesAccounts receivable and collectionsManage the Group accounts receivable ledger across all entities.Monitor overdue balances and follow up with customers in a structured and timely manner.Maintain regular contact with customers regarding outstanding invoices, payment commitments and disputes.Escalate high-risk or long-outstanding balances to the Group Financial Controller and Head of Finance.Prepare weekly AR ageing, collections and overdue-risk reports.Track payment promises and follow through until balances are settled.Coordinate with Sales and Operations to resolve commercial or documentation-related collection issues.Support the implementation and enforcement of customer credit and collection policies.Cash allocation and customer reconciliationsAllocate incoming customer payments accurately and on time.Investigate unidentified, short-paid, overpaid and incorrectly referenced receipts.Reconcile customer accounts and resolve open-item differences.Clear zero-balance debtor positions and other unmatched items.Review customer credit balances and coordinate approved refunds.Ensure customer statements and balances are accurate before reminders are issued.Support reconciliation of Australian suspense and unallocated receipt accounts.Payt and dunning administrationManage the Payt inbox and customer communication relating to invoices and payments.Monitor the automated reminder and dunning process.Ensure disputes and substantive customer responses are converted into actions and assigned to the appropriate internal owner.Review reminder workflows and prevent incorrect escalation where invoices are under valid dispute.Maintain a complete audit trail of customer communication.Monitor whether invoices have been successfully transferred from PEAK to AFAS and sent to customers.Invoicing, credit notes and refundsMonitor the completeness and accuracy of customer invoice processing.Coordinate with Sales and Operations on missing or incorrect invoices.Review requests for credit notes and ensure they are properly approved and supported.Check that duplicate credits are not issued and that the related order or invoice has been correctly addressed.Process or coordinate customer refunds in line with approved controls.Verify customer bank details before refunds are released.Support the upload of invoices to customer or government portals where required.Credit control and risk managementMonitor customer credit exposure against approved limits.Support credit-limit reviews for new and existing customers.Coordinate requests for new or increased debtor insurance limits.Maintain records of credit approvals, insurance limits and collection status.Identify customers with deteriorating payment behaviour or increased risk.Support decisions on order blocking, prepayment requirements or revised payment terms.Provide regular reporting on concentration risk, overdue exposure and collection performance.Factoring and debtor financingSupport Eurofactor and other debtor-financing processes.Reconcile financed receivables and related transaction accounts.Perform weekly checks of eligible receivables against financing availability.Investigate differences between the debtor ledger and financing reports.Coordinate with insurers, factoring providers and internal stakeholders.Ensure disputed, overdue or ineligible invoices are identified and reflected correctly.Support monthly reconciliation of financing fees, interest and related balances.Reporting and working capitalProduce weekly AR ageing and collection reports by entity, country and customer.Track overdue movements, collection effectiveness and payment trends.Report on disputes, credit notes, customer deductions and blocked items.Support cash-flow forecasting with expected customer receipts.Provide commentary on major collection risks and recovery actions.Contribute to working-capital improvement initiatives.Support management reporting on DSO, overdue balances and collection performance.Process transition and improvementTake over AR activities currently performed by the Netherlands Finance team.Document processes, controls, responsibilities and escalation routes.Support the migration of AR activities into the UAE Finance function.Identify opportunities to improve automation in Payt, AFAS and PEAK.Strengthen controls around customer master data, invoicing, credit notes and refunds.Ensure critical AR processes have clear ownership and backup coverage.Support the development of Group AR and credit-control policies.Participate in month-end close and audit support relating to receivables.Candidate profileBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.At least 4–6 years of relevant experience in accounts receivable, collections or credit control.Experience managing receivables across multiple entities or countries is preferred.Strong understanding of customer reconciliations, cash allocation, ageing and dunning.Experience with debtor insurance, factoring or receivables financing is an advantage.Good understanding of credit limits, payment terms and working-capital management.Strong Excel skills.Experience with AFAS, Payt, PEAK or similar ERP and collection systems is preferred.Fluent English is required; Dutch language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.What we are looking forProactive and persistent in following up overdue balances.Professional
