Accounts Receivable Specialist - Fully RemoteA Top 10 global law firm is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its Accounting & Finance team. This is a fully remote opportunity for an A/R professional with strong cash applications experience, ideally within a law firm or other professional services environment.The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for processing and researching incoming payments, resolving unapplied cash, and partnering with internal billing and collections teams to ensure payments are accurately and efficiently applied.ResponsibilitiesProcess high-volume cash applications and accurately post incoming paymentsManage payments received through ACH, lockbox, wire, and other electronic payment methodsResearch and resolve unidentified, unapplied, or incorrectly applied cash receiptsReconcile payment information and investigate discrepanciesPartner closely with Billing and Collections teams to resolve outstanding A/R itemsProcess payment reallocations, reversals, adjustments, and write-offs as neededRespond to internal inquiries regarding payment status and cash applicationMaintain accurate records and ensure transactions are completed within established deadlinesAssist with additional Accounts Receivable projects and responsibilities as neededQualificationsMinimum of 2 years of Accounts Receivable experienceHands-on ACH and lockbox experience requiredPrior law firm Accounts Receivable experience strongly preferredExperience with Aderant highly preferredStrong understanding of cash applications and general A/R processesProficiency in Microsoft ExcelExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a high-volume environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
