You’ll collaborate with primary care, gynecology, mental health, and wellness providers to support patients across a range of physical, reproductive, and emotional health needs.This is a great opportunity for an acupuncturist who values collaborative care, is passionate about women’s health, and is excited to practice within a modern, integrated healthcare environment.What You’ll DoProvide high-quality, individualized acupuncture treatments, managing up to three patient sessions per hourAssess patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans using Traditional Chinese Medicine and integrative medicine principlesSupport patients with concerns including menstrual health, fertility, chronic pain, stress, and other common women’s health needsCollaborate with Tia’s primary care, gynecology, mental health, and wellness teams to support coordinated patient careRecommend appropriate complementary approaches, including lifestyle modifications, mindfulness practices, supplements, or herbal therapies within your scope of practiceIdentify when additional clinical evaluation or referral is appropriate and coordinate with other members of the care teamComplete timely, accurate documentation within Tia’s electronic medical recordMaintain a consistent schedule and reliable patient caseloadStay current on evolving research, clinical practices, and evidence related to acupuncture and integrative healthWhat You’ll BringRequirementsActive and unrestricted acupuncture license in California2+ years of post-licensure clinical experience providing acupuncture care, ideally with experience in women’s health, reproductive health, or integrative careGraduate-level training in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, such as an L.Ac., DAIM, DAOM, or equivalent credentialStrong knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine, including acupuncture and related modalities such as cupping and moxibustionExperience assessing patients and developing individualized treatment plansKnowledge of women’s health and experience treating common gynecologic and reproductive health concerns, such as PCOS, endometriosis, irregular menstrual cycles, amenorrhea, fibroids, and fertility-related concernsUnderstanding of clinical documentation and insurance billing requirementsStrong written and verbal communication skillsComfort working collaboratively across clinical disciplinesAbility to provide compassionate, inclusive, trauma-informed, and patient-centered careComfort using technology and learning new clinical systemsNice to HaveExperience with Chinese herbal medicine, supplements, or other complementary therapiesKnowledge of contraindications and potential interactions between herbal therapies, supplements, and medicationsFormal training in trauma-informed careExperience caring for LGBTQIA+ patients and patients from a wide range of backgrounds and communitiesExperience supporting patients with chronic stress, trauma, pain, or inflammatory conditionsPrevious experience in an integrated care, healthcare technology, or startup environmentCompensation & BenefitsTia is committed to pay equity and transparency.
