Job DescriptionClient is seeking a qualified Performance Engineer who will be responsible for target setting, validation planning, and status reporting for ADAS features on production vehicle applications. The performance engineer will be responsible for creating ADAS performance based on the assigned vehicle's competitive set and delivering features adhering to these targets within program timing milestones.Job DutiesEstablish budget & timing plans for approval and planning for assigned vehicle(s)Set vehicle-specific objective performance targets for all ADAS features based on benchmarks of competitive set, translated voice-of-customer, and industry knowledgeWork with ADAS Functional Science simulation team to increase requirement simulation capability and apply to programsCreate and support validation plan for test engineering teamTrack and report development and validation status via scorecard and supporting materials to leadershipProvide impact assessment for product/feature changesReview/prepare materials and vehicles for leadership ride and drive eventsIdentify and resolve cross-functional issues affecting ADAS system performanceEscalate roadblocks to development and validationDevelop risk mitigation plan for timing slips and issue resolutionIdentify and fill gaps in new, rapidly growing organizationPosition Requirements – Basic QualificationsBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent (Materials/Chemical/Civil/Aerospace/Computer) from an ABET accredited or equivalent university3 years of related engineering experienceProficient in Google Docs, Sheets, and PagesExcellent problem-solving skillsExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to adapt to major strategy shifts while ensuring work continuity and motivationWillingness to support 1–2 week development trips, domestic and internationalClean driving record and ability to drive test vehicles on public roadwaysPreferred QualificationsUnderstanding of the V-model development process and requirements traceability2 years of experience within the area of ADAS product development5 years of related engineering experienceUnderstanding of Client vehicle and electrical engineering development milestones All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, age, genetic information, or pregnancy.Please beware of job seeker scams and see this important notice on our careers page for more information about our recruiting process.Compliance Notice: Alten USA is a federal contractor subject to the requirements of the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) and Executive Order 11246.
