The university fosters a supportive academic community grounded in Christian values and encourages engagement through its website and social media channels.Role Description The Adjunct Professor – 3D Animation is a part-time, on-site or online position. This role is responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in 3D animation, including Cinema 4D, Blender, and topics such as modeling, texturing, rigging, lighting, rendering, and animation principles. The Adjunct Professor prepares syllabi and assignments that align with program outcomes and university standards. Responsibilities include demonstrations (recorded or live), providing hands-on guidance in software tools, evaluating student work, and offering constructive feedback. The role also involves maintaining a classroom or online environment that reflects Faulkner University’s Christian mission and values.QualificationsDemonstrated expertise in 3D animation production, including modeling, texturing, rigging, lighting, and rendering using industry-standard tools (e.g., Cinema 4D and Blender).Strong instructional and curriculum development skills, with the ability to design clear syllabi, assignments, rubrics, and learning activities for diverse learners.Effective classroom management and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and provide constructive, timely feedback.Ability to integrate current industry practices, storytelling, visual design fundamentals, and portfolio development into course content.Education & RequirementsMaster’s degree in Animation, Digital Media, Fine Arts, or a closely related field; substantial professional experience in 3D animation or game/film production may be considered.Commitment to supporting a learning environment consistent with Christian principles and the mission of Faulkner University.Prior teaching or training experience at the college level is preferred; experience mentoring or supervising student projects is beneficial.Ability to work on-site in Montgomery, AL, collaborate with faculty and staff, and adapt to evolving program needs and technologies is a huge plus.
