Admin Assistan / Office Coordinator / Admin Officer

Role Description The Director will lead strategic planning, policy development, and operational oversight for key municipal and transport initiatives within the Abu Dhabi Emirate. This full-time, on-site role, located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, involves setting departmental priorities, overseeing programs and projects, and ensuring alignment with DMT’s vision and regulatory frameworks. The Director will manage senior staff, coordinate cross-functional teams, and foster partnerships with government entities, private sector organizations, and community stakeholders. Responsibilities include monitoring performance, optimizing resources, driving innovation and sustainability, and reporting on outcomes to executive leadership. The role also requires risk management, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement of processes, services, and standards.QualificationsProven leadership experience in government, public sector, or large-scale urban planning, transport, or infrastructure organizations.Strong strategic planning, policy development, and decision-making skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, budgets, and complex projects, ideally in municipalities, transportation, or urban development.Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse partners and communities.Knowledge of urban planning, transport systems, sustainability principles, and relevant regulatory and governance frameworks.Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and risk management capabilities, including use of data to inform decisions.Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Transport Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree is an advantage.Fluency in English; Arabic language skills and regional experience in the GCC or MENA region are highly beneficial.Commitment to ethical governance, inclusivity, and continuous organizational improvement.
