Its work supports job creation, income growth, and innovation, offering partners and stakeholders a strategic platform for development-focused investment.Role Description The Director role at Invest MT is a full-time position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows for some work from home. The Director will oversee strategic planning and execution of investment promotion, export development, and competitiveness initiatives for Mato Grosso, building relationships with investors, government agencies, and industry partners in the region. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading market outreach, evaluating investment proposals, coordinating cross-border projects, and representing the agency at conferences, trade missions, and stakeholder meetings. The Director will guide a multidisciplinary team, monitor performance against organizational goals, manage budgets, and ensure alignment with Invest MT’s mission of sustainable economic development. The role also involves preparing reports and presentations for senior leadership and public stakeholders and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and governance standards.Qualifications Proven leadership and management skills, including experience overseeing teams, coordinating complex projects, and driving strategic initiatives.Strong background in investment promotion, economic development, international business, or trade and export facilitation.Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities with public institutions, private enterprises, and international partners.Advanced analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to assess market opportunities, evaluate investment proposals, and make data-informed decisions.Outstanding communication and presentation skills in English; additional proficiency in Portuguese or Arabic is an asset.Experience working in a multicultural, international environment and familiarity with the economic landscape of Latin America or the Middle East.Solid financial and budget management capabilities, including planning, monitoring, and reporting on program and operational expenditures.Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business Administration, Economics, International Relations, Public Policy, or a related field is preferred.Demonstrated commitment to sustainability, inclusive growth, and ethical business practices.Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, balancing on-site responsibilities in Dubai with remote collaboration across time zones.
