Role Description The Director role at FERTIS INDIA is a full-time, on-site position based in Vishakhapatnam. The Director will provide strategic leadership across research, product development, and commercialization of crop nutrients, microbes, and protectants, aligning business goals with market needs and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, overseeing product and service innovation pipelines, and guiding go-to-market strategies with key stakeholders, including farmers, commodity purchasers, and corporate partners. The Director will manage budgets, set performance targets, monitor operational efficiency, and ensure high standards of quality and compliance. The role also involves building strategic partnerships, representing the company at industry events, and contributing to long-term growth plans in the agribusiness sector.QualificationsStrong leadership and people management skills, with experience directing cross-functional teams and driving organizational performance.Expertise in agribusiness, crop nutrition, or agricultural technology, including familiarity with crop nutrients, microbes, and protectants.Strategic planning, business development, and market expansion skills, with a track record of scaling products or services in relevant industries.Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to support data-driven decision-making.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills for working with farmers, corporate purchasers, partners, and regulators.Experience with research and innovation management, including oversight of product testing, validation, and commercialization processes.Ability to work on-site in Vishakhapatnam and collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners.Advanced degree in agriculture, agronomy, agricultural science, business management, or a related field is preferred; substantial relevant experience may be considered equivalent.Prior senior leadership experience in the agriculture, fertilizer, or allied sectors is highly beneficial.
