Individual must be knowledgeable and proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and grafts using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs.Education:High school graduate with business/secretarial courses, proficient typist. Knowledge of standard medical abbreviations and terminology.Essential Functions:1. Administrative1. Coordinates meeting and travel arrangement for the Department.2. Assists with details of meetings, including room scheduling, publicity, programs, ordering equipment, pre-registration lists, arrangements housekeeping and mailing. Assists with registration procedures, including responsibility for collecting money and ensuring its arrival in finance.3. Supervises volunteers in performing clerical work (collating materials, assembling booklets, etc.)4. Demonstrates willingness to accept non-routine work assignments as appropriate.2. Document Preparation1. Transcribes, types, and prepares documents for mailing or internal distribution. Types of documents2. include letters, memos, reports, policy/procedures, meeting minutes, and contractual agreements.3. Prepares PowerPoint presentations.4. Prepares, reviews, copies, and files as necessary, departmental correspondences.5. Attends selected meetings and records minutes.6. Maintains records and files as requested.3. Meeting Scheduling1. Schedules meetings and appointments.2. Confirms meetings to requestor and participants.3. Schedules meetings in a timely manner.Other Duties:Other duties as assigned.
