A leading multinational engineering company is seeking an Administration Officer to join its offices in Bahrain.Job Brief:The Administration Officer is responsible for managing the Company’s corporate licenses, registrations, and administrative compliance framework, including all government-related filings, renewals, and registration requirements. The role serves as the principal liaison with relevant Bahraini government authorities, including the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MOIC), Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) and Social Insurance Organisation (SIO).The Administration Officer also provides administrative, compliance, accounting, and tax support in coordination with the Regional Office. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of Bahrain’s legal and regulatory environment and extensive experience using the relevant government portals.

Responsibilities

Licensing and renewals: Manage Commercial Registration (CR), trade licence, economic substance, municipality and Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry registrations, filings, and renewals, including submissions through Sijilat.Immigration and labour: Manage LMRA work permits and NPRA visit visas from application through to approval, renewal, or cancellation.Social insurance: Administer employee registrations and deregistrations, salary updates, occupational injury reporting, and other required submissions to the SIO.Document attestation: Coordinate the notarisation, legalisation, and attestation of corporate and employee documents with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, embassies, and other relevant authorities.Government liaison: Serve as the Company’s principal point of contact with the MOIC, Ministry of Interior, LMRA, NPRA, SIO, municipalities, and other government authorities.Violations and fines: Investigate, reconcile, and arrange the timely settlement of fines, penalties, and other amounts payable to the relevant authorities.Compliance monitoring: Maintain an up-to-date register of licences, permits and registrations, monitor applicable deadlines and ensure that renewals and filings are completed on time.Records management: Maintain complete and accurate records of government correspondence, applications, approvals, licences, permits and supporting documents.Internal support: Provide administrative, compliance and accounting support to the Finance Department, Regional Office and other internal stakeholders as required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business management, law or accounting or a related discipline. A relevant master’s degree is preferred.At least 5 years’ experience in a comparable role in Bahrain, with responsibility for administration, government relations, and regulatory compliance.Demonstrable experience using Sijilat and the relevant LMRA, NPRA, SIO and other Bahraini government portals.Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English is essential.A working knowledge of Finance / accounting and taxation is desirable.Strong organizational, communication and stakeholder-management skills, with close attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.High levels of integrity, discretion and professionalism when handling confidential corporate and employee information.
