Day-to-day activities include responding to inquiries, conducting information sessions and campus tours, and explaining program offerings, admission requirements, and financial aid options in a clear and supportive manner. The Admissions Counselor engages in outreach and follow-up with prospective students, maintains accurate records in enrollment systems, and collaborates with academic and student services teams to ensure a smooth transition from prospect to enrolled student. The role also involves meeting enrollment goals, participating in recruitment events, and representing the college’s mission and values in all interactions.Qualifications Strong interpersonal communication and general communication skills to engage effectively with prospective students, families, and colleagues.Customer service abilities to provide responsive, empathetic support and a positive experience throughout the admissions process.Sales-related skills, including persuasive yet ethical outreach, follow-up, and the ability to meet enrollment targets.Background or interest in education, academic advising, or student support services.Additional beneficial qualifications: experience in admissions or recruitment, familiarity with healthcare or career-training programs, proficiency with CRM or student information systems, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong organizational and time-management skills.Preferred education: associate or bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, communications, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
