Wavecrest is committed to helping clients grow, thrive, and reclaim their lives with dignity.Role Description The Admissions Specialist is a full-time role responsible for guiding prospective clients and families through the intake and enrollment process. Day-to-day tasks include responding to inquiries via phone, email, and online channels; conducting initial screenings; and clearly explaining program offerings, levels of care, and admission criteria. The role involves coordinating assessments, verifying insurance benefits, and collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a smooth transition into care. The Admissions Specialist maintains accurate records in the client management system, follows up with leads, and supports outreach activities to increase awareness of Wavecrest’s services. This role requires a compassionate, detail-oriented approach that prioritizes client safety, confidentiality, and a positive experience from first contact through admission.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and active listening.Candidates should possess Customer Service skills focused on empathy, professionalism, and responsiveness to client and family needs.Candidates should possess Sales and outreach skills, including lead follow-up, relationship-building, and explaining program value.Candidates should possess Student Recruiting or admissions-related skills, such as guiding individuals through application or enrollment processes.Candidates should possess Education-related skills or experience, including familiarity with behavioral health or healthcare programs and the ability to explain them in accessible terms.Experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, healthcare admissions, or a similar setting is beneficial.Ability to manage multiple inquiries, maintain organized records, and use electronic health record or CRM systems effectively.Commitment to ethical practices, client confidentiality (HIPAA compliance), and trauma-informed, culturally responsive care.High school diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary education in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field is preferred.
