Analyzes assembly, fabrication, machining, and other processes. Maximizes efficiency by optimization of layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Determines the parts, equipment, tools, and processes needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essentialfunctions.1. Ensure manufacturability of engineering designs and engineering changes2. Conduct time and method studies establishing time standards for manufacturing operations.3. Support internal and external teams during the concept development process for the industrializationof customer projects4. Identify, qualify and develop new equipment suppliers. Build relationships to ensure thoroughunderstanding and consistent execution of standards5. Maintain and ensure supplier compliance to equipment standards by creating technical specificationsand efficient project management through timely design reviews, validation and installation.6. Provide equipment cost estimating for new program customer RFQ’s7. Develop standards for plant layouts, work instructions, process flow layout, set-up procedures whileadhering to safety, quality and productivity procedures and policies.8. Conduct line balancing studies, process simulations and material flow studies to achieve optimumbalance between man and machine9. Develop and manage process FMEA’s and other process documentation across all global locations.10. Ensure global compliance with IATF16949 and other quality, environmental, manufacturing andcustomer standard requirements.11. Perform other duties as assigned.12.Will be looking after global manufacturing role from offshoreQualificationsRequired Education & Experience1. Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.2. 2+ years of work experience in an automotive manufacturing environment or integrator shop.3. Metals processing experience such as welding, riveting, stamping, assembly and fastening4. Automotive seating structures experience preferred.Competencies1.
