operational performance.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Advanced Manufacturing Technology Manager to lead the evaluation, development, deployment, integration, and optimization of advanced manufacturing technologies.The ideal candidate will manage technology programs covering automation, robotics, additive manufacturing, advanced machining, digital manufacturing, computer vision, industrial IoT, artificial intelligence, advanced process control, simulation, and smart-factory solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement advanced manufacturing technology strategies aligned with business and operational objectives.Establish technology roadmaps covering automation, robotics, digital manufacturing, intelligent equipment, and emerging production technologies.Identify manufacturing processes with opportunities for automation, digitalization, optimization, and technology transformation.Evaluate emerging manufacturing technologies based on technical capability, scalability, cost, risk, and expected business value.Lead technology feasibility studies, proof-of-concept programs, pilots, demonstrations, and industrial trials.Develop business cases for advanced manufacturing investments, including capital requirements, productivity benefits, ROI, and payback.Lead technology projects from concept and design through implementation, commissioning, stabilization, and production handover.Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across manufacturing, engineering, automation, IT, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and operations.Define functional, technical, process, safety, quality, and performance requirements for new technologies.Evaluate robotics, automated material handling, machine vision, autonomous systems, advanced controls, and intelligent production equipment.Support implementation of additive manufacturing, advanced machining, automated assembly, advanced forming, laser processing, and other emerging technologies where applicable.Develop and optimize automated production cells, lines, workstations, and manufacturing systems.Integrate automation technologies with MES, ERP, SCADA, PLC, DCS, robotics, manufacturing databases, and industrial communication networks.Lead smart-factory initiatives involving industrial IoT, connected equipment, real-time monitoring, and manufacturing analytics.Evaluate artificial intelligence and machine-learning applications for quality inspection, predictive maintenance, process optimization, production planning, and anomaly detection.Develop digital manufacturing models, simulations, digital twins, and virtual commissioning capabilities where appropriate.Analyze manufacturing data to identify bottlenecks, process variation, downtime, quality losses, and productivity opportunities.Establish technology performance standards, acceptance criteria, validation plans, and operational KPIs.Coordinate factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, commissioning, qualification, and production release.Ensure new technologies are integrated safely and effectively into existing manufacturing operations.Assess the impact of technology implementation on processes, workforce requirements, equipment, facilities, quality, and supply chain.Develop standard operating procedures, work instructions, maintenance requirements, technology standards, and technical documentation.Coordinate technology transfer from R&D, engineering, suppliers, and technology partners into manufacturing operations.Support new-product introduction, process development, pilot production, scale-up, and manufacturing ramp-up.Work with product and process engineering teams to improve manufacturability, automation readiness, and process capability.Identify opportunities to reduce cycle time, labor requirements, scrap, rework, energy consumption, and production costs.Lead manufacturing debottlenecking and capacity-improvement initiatives.Evaluate flexible manufacturing technologies that support changing product mixes, volumes, customization, and customer requirements.Coordinate equipment and technology upgrades, retrofits, software changes, and engineering modifications.Manage technology suppliers, system integrators, equipment manufacturers, automation partners, and specialist contractors.Define supplier requirements, technical specifications, SLAs, warranties, service requirements, and performance standards.Monitor supplier performance, implementation quality, technical support, response times, and project delivery.Develop technology lifecycle strategies covering acquisition, deployment, upgrades, cybersecurity, support, obsolescence, and retirement.Ensure manufacturing technologies comply with applicable safety, regulatory, cybersecurity, quality, and environmental requirements.Conduct technology risk assessments and establish contingency and recovery plans for critical automated systems.Coordinate cybersecurity requirements for connected manufacturing equipment, industrial networks, and operational technology.Manage technology project budgets, capital expenditure, operating costs, resources, and schedules.Monitor project milestones, risks, dependencies, technical issues, and expected benefits.Establish technology governance, architecture standards, documentation requirements, and approval processes.Develop technology validation and performance-monitoring frameworks to ensure expected benefits are sustained.Train engineers, technicians, operators, supervisors, and support teams on new technologies and operating procedures.Develop competency frameworks and knowledge-transfer programs for advanced manufacturing systems.Promote Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, Industry 4.0, operational excellence, and continuous-improvement practices.Benchmark manufacturing technology capabilities against industry developments and leading practices.Monitor technology trends in robotics, AI, automation, additive manufacturing, machine vision, digital twins, and autonomous production.Build partnerships with universities, research organizations, technology companies, equipment suppliers, and innovation centers.Provide management with regular reports covering technology programs, investment, performance, risks, ROI, implementation progress, and improvement opportunities.Key manufacturing engineering, industrial automation, robotics, digital manufacturing, Industry 4.0, production technology, or smart-factory transformation, preferably within complex industrial or high-volume manufacturing environments.The candidate should demonstrate:Proven experience leading advanced manufacturing technology programs.Strong understanding of modern manufacturing processes, automation, and industrial technology.Experience implementing robotics, automated production systems, machine vision, industrial IoT, or intelligent manufacturing solutions.Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, commissioning.Understanding of AI and machine-learning applications in manufacturing is highly desirable.Experience evaluating and implementing emerging manufacturing technologies.Strong knowledge of
