an experienced Aerospace Quality Manager to lead quality assurance, quality control, regulatory compliance, supplier quality, inspection, non-conformance management, corrective actions, audits, and continuous-improvement initiatives across aerospace operations.The ideal candidate will combine strong aerospace-quality expertise with regulatory knowledge, risk management, root-cause analysis, supplier oversight, audit leadership, and cross-functional management capabilities.The role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining quality-management systems, ensuring product and process conformity, managing quality risks, supporting certification and regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement throughout the aerospace supply chain and operational lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement aerospace quality strategies, policies, procedures, standards, and governance frameworks aligned with organizational objectives and applicable aviation requirements.Establish and maintain an effective Aerospace Quality Management System (QMS).Ensure quality processes comply with applicable aerospace standards, customer requirements, regulatory requirements, and approved organizational procedures.Manage quality assurance and quality-control activities across engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, inspection, supply chain, procurement, and operational functions.Develop quality plans, inspection procedures, control plans, acceptance criteria, inspection points, and quality requirements for aerospace products and services.Review engineering drawings, specifications, technical requirements, manufacturing processes, maintenance documentation, and contractual quality requirements.Ensure product and process conformity throughout design, manufacturing, assembly, testing, maintenance, and delivery.Ensure inspection equipment, measuring instruments, and test equipment are appropriately controlled, calibrated, maintained, and traceable.Manage non-conforming materials, components, products, and processes through appropriate identification, containment, disposition, and corrective-action procedures.Establish and maintain Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective-action records, deviation records, concessions, waivers, and quality alerts.Lead root-cause investigations using appropriate methodologies such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, Fault Tree Analysis, or equivalent techniques.Develop and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and verify their effectiveness.Monitor recurring quality issues and identify systemic causes requiring broader process improvements.Lead internal quality audits and support external, customer, supplier, certification, and regulatory audits.Maintain audit schedules, audit findings, corrective actions, evidence, and closure records.Support regulatory and certification activities related to aerospace quality systems and applicable aviation authorities.Prepare the organization for regulatory inspections, certification audits, customer audits, and third-party assessments.Monitor changes to applicable aerospace standards, regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and industry best practices.Assess the impact of regulatory and standards changes on existing quality systems and operational processes.Manage supplier-quality programs and assess the quality performance of aerospace suppliers, manufacturers, repair organizations, and external service providers.Conduct supplier qualification, audits, assessments, performance reviews, and improvement programs.Monitor supplier non-conformances, delivery quality, corrective actions, process capability, and recurring defects.Establish supplier quality requirements and ensure appropriate quality clauses are incorporated into contracts and purchase orders.Work closely with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to evaluate supplier risks and establish appropriate quality controls.Manage quality risks associated with counterfeit, suspect, unapproved, or improperly certified aerospace parts and materials.Ensure appropriate traceability, documentation, certification, material records, and product-history requirements are maintained.Establish controls for configuration management, product identification, serial numbers, batch records, certificates of conformity, and other quality documentation.Collaborate with Engineering on design changes, manufacturing changes, process changes, technical deviations, and product improvements.Participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), risk assessments, process reviews, design reviews, and other quality-risk activities.Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and related aerospace production-approval processes where applicable.Monitor manufacturing and operational processes for capability, consistency, repeatability, and compliance.Develop quality metrics and dashboards covering defects, NCRs, supplier performance, audit findings, CAPA, customer complaints, rework, scrap, and product reliability.Analyze quality data to identify trends, emerging risks, recurring failures, and improvement opportunities.Implement statistical process control, process-capability analysis, sampling plans, and other quantitative quality techniques where appropriate.Manage customer quality complaints, product-quality investigations, containment actions, and corrective responses.Coordinate with Customer Service, Engineering, Operations, and Commercial teams to resolve customer quality issues.Establish quality training programs covering inspection, documentation, quality procedures, non-conformance management, root-cause analysis, and regulatory requirements.Develop quality-awareness programs that promote a strong culture of safety, compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.Maintain comprehensive quality records including inspection reports, audit records, NCRs, CAPAs, calibration records, supplier assessments, certificates, quality plans, and regulatory documentation.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Performance will be measured through a reliabilityOn-time quality releaseCandidate ProfileThe successful candidate should have strong experience in aerospace quality assurance, aerospace manufacturing quality, aviation maintenance quality, supplier quality, engineering quality, or a related discipline.Experience within aircraft manufacturing, aerospace components, aviation MRO, defense, space systems, avionics, propulsion, or other highly regulated engineering environments would be advantageous.The candidate should have a strong understanding of aerospace quality systems, regulatory requirements, product traceability, configuration management, supplier quality, audits, and corrective-action processes.What You'll BringProven experience in aerospace, aviation, defense, space, or highly regulated engineering quality environments.Strong knowledge of aerospace quality-management systems and quality-assurance principles.Familiarity with standards such as AS9100, AS9110, AS9120, ISO 9001, or applicable aviation requirements.Strong understanding of aerospace regulatory and certification environments.Experience managing internal, customer, supplier, and regulatory audits.Strong experience with NCR, CAPA, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action management.Experience with supplier-quality management and supplier audits.Strong knowledge of inspection, testing, calibration, traceability, and product conformity.Experience with First Article Inspection and aerospace production-quality processes is advantageous.Strong understanding of configuration management and engineering-change processes.Experience using quality-management systems, ERP systems, inspection systems, and quality analytics tools.Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, statistical process control, FMEA, or other continuous-improvement methodologies.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.Excellent communication, leadership, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.Strong attention to detail and commitment to aerospace safety and quality.Ability to manage multiple audits, quality issues, suppliers, projects, and regulatory requirements simultaneously.Ability to work independently and effectively within a fully remote environment.Relevant degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Aviation, or a related discipline.Professional quality certification such as ASQ CQE, Six Sigma, or equivalent is advantageous.
