This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining end-to-end web applications that integrate agentic AI capabilities, including back-end services, front-end interfaces, and AI-driven workflows. The professional in this position will collaborate with faculty, researchers, and technical teams to translate educational and research requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and testing APIs, implementing user interfaces, integrating machine learning or AI agents, optimizing system performance, and documenting architectures and code. The role also requires active participation in code reviews, continuous improvement of development practices, and ensuring that deployed solutions remain reliable, accessible, and aligned with institutional goals.Qualifications Strong full-stack development skills, including experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular) and back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, or similar).Experience building and integrating AI or machine learning-driven applications, such as agentic AI systems, intelligent agents, or data-driven services.Proficiency with databases and data storage (SQL and NoSQL), API design and integration (REST, GraphQL), and cloud or container platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes).Solid understanding of software engineering practices, including version control (Git), automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and secure coding standards.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, translate functional requirements into technical solutions, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience working in academic, research, or edtech environments is a plus; familiarity with data privacy, accessibility standards, and ethical AI considerations is beneficial.Demonstrated problem-solving skills, adaptability in hybrid work settings, and commitment to continuous learning in AI, web technologies, and best development practices.
