Agentic Systems Architect

We are looking for an exceptional, hands-on technologist who combines deep enterprise experience with the architectural judgement to bring advanced AI systems into dependable commercial use.This is a senior role for someone who can take responsibility for the complete system: its architecture, infrastructure, integrations, behaviour under pressure and the experience it delivers to customers.The experience we are looking for- Substantial experience designing, integrating and operating complex enterprise systems, with personal accountability for important technical decisions.- Deep infrastructure and IT knowledge across networking, identity, compute, storage, databases, virtualisation and cloud environments, including how these layers interact when something fails.- Practical experience with agentic AI: model integration, orchestration, tool use, context and retrieval, evaluation, and controls around autonomous actions.- Strong engineering capability across APIs, systems integration, deployment automation, containers and operational tooling, with the ability to investigate issues directly in code, configuration and runtime evidence.- Mature judgement around security, resilience and operations: access boundaries, data protection, observability, incident diagnosis, recovery and change management.- The ability to explain complex tradeoffs clearly to engineers, commercial colleagues and customers, connecting technical decisions to business needs.What you will own- Shape and challenge architecture across our AI products and commercial projects.- Lead rigorous validation of complete workflows, including failure paths, integration boundaries and recovery behaviour.- Drive issues through diagnosis, resolution and independent retesting.- Establish clear evidence of readiness for customer demonstrations, deployment and ongoing operation.- Take increasing technical ownership across the portfolio as the role develops.The standardWe will look for specific examples of systems you have delivered and operated, difficult problems you have diagnosed, and architectural decisions you can defend.
