The successful candidate will monitor, review, and evaluate all agricultural, horticulture, and large-scale landscape operations performed by operations and maintenance (O&M) contractors and subcontractors. This role focuses heavily on contract compliance, quality control, asset preservation, and managing infrastructure replacement or substitution works. Key Responsibilities 1. Contractor Supervision & Quality Assurance Supervise Contractors: Oversee day-to-day agricultural and landscape operations executed by third-party O&M contractors. Audit Compliance: Verify contractor adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), technical specifications, and maintenance schedules. Inspect Execution: Conduct routine site walkthroughs to ensure premium turf, plant, and soil health conditions across premises. Approve Works: Review, validate, and sign off on completed maintenance milestones, structural repairs, or landscape restoration. 2. Technical Consultancy & Project Oversight Manage Replacements: Oversee all replacement, substitution, and softscape renovation works under the Employer’s authority. Review Submissions: Evaluate contractor material submittals, including fertilizers, pesticides, soil conditioners, and plant varieties. Advise Site Management: Provide data-driven technical recommendations to the Client Site Manager regarding optimization and long-term asset value. Monitor Infrastructure: Assess and troubleshoot large-scale irrigation networks, drainage pathways, and pumping machinery. 3. Operational Administration & Safety Maintain Records: Ensure meticulous documentation of pesticide logs, water consumption, equipment diagnostics, and structural changes. Enforce Safety: Enforce absolute compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) guidelines across all contracting crews. Resolve Issues: Identify operational bottlenecks, structural failures, or contractor deficiencies and implement rapid corrective actions. Required Qualifications & Experience Practical Experience (Mandatory) 7+ Years Minimum: Proven track record in supervising large-scale landscape maintenance, agricultural operations, or commercial grounds management. Contract Management: Direct experience acting as a supervisor, consultant, or managing agent over third-party O&M contractors. Diverse Environmental Exposure: Expert knowledge in managing high-traffic turf, estate softscapes, arid/sub-tropical plant species, or hybrid agricultural setups. Target Profile Variations & Education Accepted Credentials: A formal degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Horticulture, or Landscape Architecture is highly valued but not mandatory. Equivalent Experience: Proven, extensive practical field experience as a Landscape Manager, Landscape Supervisor, Horticultural Specialist, or Agronomist will be fully considered in lieu of a formal degree. Technical & Soft Skills Deep knowledge of soil science, plant pathology, irrigation programming, and pest management. Ability to interpret master architectural landscape plans, construction drawings, and technical design intentions. Strong assertive communication skills for managing contractor relations and preparing client-facing technical reports.
